Sydney Freedivers offers an introductory training evening where safety protocol, freediving training basics and even rescue procedures are drilled.  After the intro night  club membership is offered to those divers interested who have no health conditions that preclude apnea training.

Membership fee: $112.00 per annum

Does not include:  swimming pool costs,

                                           AIDA membership for freedivers

                                           USFA membership for spearfishers

In the course of a  year divers will be coached on safety, technique and fitness by the more experienced freedivers. They will be encouraged to set real goals for the year and advised on how to achieve these, including how to train for such activities like spearfishing or to handle surfing hold-downs. Work shops for members only  are run on various subjects such as Safety; Equalization and various disciplines .  The club runs "Max" nights  where divers can attempt big performances and personal bests with safety divers in the water with them as well as patrolling the edge of the pool. Sydney Freedivers also run freediving competitions.

Although Sydney Freedivers does not run freediving courses we can advise where these courses are found.
